There are many ways to help hospice patients and to provide support to their family members.
• Provide companionship • Sing or play music • Read a book •
• Provide translation • Prepare a meal • Light gardening • Shopping •
• Provide respite for a caregiver •
If you have office experience, you can also help with the following:
• Answer phones at the office • Prepare & send mailings •
• Call patients and family members to ask how they’re doing •
All volunteers are provided training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to help ensure health and safety.
Volunteer training will help you grow, learn new skills and build your resume.
